The best Scandinavian books for kids
To decide on the best Scandinavian literature classics for kids – isn’t that impossible? Maybe! There are simply so many great books. I devoured many of these books as a child. They teach us about the Scandinavian culture and its people, transport us into the past or magical worlds.
Many people know Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Her famous books about characters such as Pippi Longstocking, Emil and Lotta are all worth reading. However, there are also many additional Scandinavian authors that aren’t as well known in the United States but equally deserve to be added to this list.
I have rounded up my favorite books by Scandinavian authors to add to your next order or library pick-up.
